Mallam Idris Mohammed, the Niger State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to ve bandits.
Platforms Africa reports that the Commissioner was kidnapped on Sunday night by highly armed individuals who broke into his home in Baban Tunga, Tafa local government area of the State.

The armed men, estimated to number around 20, invaded the Commissioner’s home around 11:00 a.m., shooting intermittently into the air before abducting their target in front of his second wife.
